Characters typed during a test

The application compares the characters you type with its bundled English prompt inside your browser. It does not send typed text, the prompt, individual keys, or key timing to an application server, account, database, analytics service, URL, header, or error report.

Paste, drop, browser replacement, cut, and undo or redo input are not accepted as scored typing. Mobile keyboard composition may deliver several printable characters together; the application can score up to 64 printable Unicode code points from one composition result, in order, without treating ordinary paste or replacement as typing.

Browser extensions, accessibility software, input methods, or operating-system features may observe typing according to settings and permissions controlled by you and their providers. Those tools are outside MallowDesk's application storage.

Result history in this browser

The application may use local storage under mallow-typing-test/state to remember the selected duration and up to 50 completed result records. A record keeps scoring inputs such as duration, accepted and incorrect insertion totals, final correct characters, scoring and corpus versions, a non-identifying run ID, and a UTC completion time so the visible WPM, accuracy, recent history, and duration-specific best can be derived consistently.

Stored records do not contain the generated prompt, the text you typed, a key-by-key history, or key timestamps. An active or abandoned test is not restored. You can clear the history from the application. Clearing browser site data also removes it, and another browser or device will not share it. If local storage is unavailable or full, the current test continues without durable history.

Hosting and technical requests

The service host may process routine request information such as an IP address, user agent, requested URL, request time, and security logs to deliver and protect the page. Fonts, scripts, styles, prompts, and illustrations are delivered as application files; the application does not attach typed characters or result history to those requests.

Mallow Typing Test does not currently include a first-party analytics tracker, application account, server database, or application cookie.

Advertising status

Production builds include a non-executable Google AdSense account meta tag solely for site-ownership verification. A meta tag does not display an ad, set an advertising cookie, or receive typing-test input.

There are currently no AdSense execution scripts, manual ad units, Auto ads, advertising cookies, or consent-management platform in this application. Before advertising is enabled, the required consent choices, layout checks, and this policy will be updated to match the actual behavior. Google describes its own advertising practices in its advertising privacy information.

Links to other MallowDesk tools, Gensio, or another website lead to services with their own terms and privacy practices. Mallow Typing Test does not append your typed characters, prompt, or results to those links.

If the application starts storing, transmitting, analyzing, or monetizing data in a new way, this page and its updated date will change to describe that behavior.
